He has hired a security team to guard him and his assets 24/7, the New York Post reported.

The California man has kept a low profile since claiming his $2.04 billion Powerball prize last year, but was seen exiting a bank with a fat envelope on Wednesday.

Castro has spent some of his winnings on a $25 million estate in Hollywood Hills and a $4 million home in Altadena near the gas station where he purchased his winning ticket.

Like most lottery winners, Castro opted for a one-time cash payment—of $997.6 million in his case—instead of receiving his full prize in annual installments over 29 years.
