Mega Millions $1M Claimed by 2 Coworkers
Randy Ferriss and Colton Snyder, both 52 years old, were the only members left in their office lottery pool, which had previously been larger.
Ferriss used small winnings from other recent tickets to purchase the winning ticket at a Casey's in Nevada, turning $2 into $1 million.
While Ferriss hopes to pay off his house, Snyder plans to use the money to complete some small home improvements with his wife.
The two winners plan to continue playing the lottery together in their office pool. The Iowa colleagues' ticket was one of four in the country to win a $1 million prize in the drawing.
The other winning tickets were sold in California, Maryland, and Ohio, while the jackpot was won in New York.
The winning numbers for the draw on Tuesday, April 18, were 7-9-15-19-25, with the Mega Ball being 4.
Ferriss and Snyder's ticket matched the first five numbers but missed the Mega Ball.
